GAUCHOS
Today’s gaucho, a symbol of Argentina, lives the life his ancestors had three centuries ago. This is a lonely nomad life under the stars, in the fields together with livestock. The author observes South American cultures, looking for those that continue to live like their ancestors and maintain connection with the Earth. This project is a sequel to another one – that for Runa Simi. Here the author uses pale tones and unsaturated colours in order to accent on these people’s loneliness and hard living.
