I wanted to create photographs free from the pursuit of a problem or its resolution—something often expected of an artist. I aimed to find a "zero point"—a state of calm, a moment where nothing demands urgency. Across all times and cultures, children delight in the same simple things: river water, wind lifting a kite, or a curious piece of glass. These moments transcend time, age, and race, reminding us of what connects us.
